Interactive Lockdown

Interactive Lockdowns at the Old Montana Prison are immersive overnight programs that bring the history of Montana’s territorial prison to life. Guests experience the routines of early inmates through a mock booking process, period-style prison attire, a prison-inspired meal, and guided access to historic cellblocks and yards. Participants are locked in for the night, offering a rare, hands-on look at daily life, discipline, and conditions faced by prisoners who once lived within these walls. This event focuses on education, authenticity, and firsthand historical experience.
