Peace Officer Memorial: A Day To Remember

The Peace Officer Memorial, located in the historic 1912 Cellhouse at the Old Montana Prison, serves as a powerful and solemn tribute to the law enforcement officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Every year on May 15th, we honor those who have made this sacrifice, and we welcome everyone to come to the memorial event inside the Old Prison Yard at high noon.

This year, we are inducting a fallen officer from 1925. This officer was somehow missed and never honored for his sacrifice. His name was Deputy Sheriff Robert George Fitzpatrick, who died in the line of duty on September 26th, in Flathead County, MT.

The community is invited to gather for this meaningful tribute on May 15th at 12:00 p.m. in the Old Prison Yard. Let us take a moment to thank ALL WHO HAVE SACRIFICED!
